250. Fantasy Faire 2015

Blogger Challenge:

I Remember

I remember waiting at the gates for Mist open for new adventures.

Every minute that passed, my heart beat faster. The anticipation of what to see, to learn and what adventures are waiting in those new worlds.

This is what makes the Fantasy Faire for me the biggest and most breathtaking event in Second Life. I wait all year long for it to open and actually take days off for the whole Event in RL.

When you read a fantasy Book, you enter a new world with your imagination. Here you are really there, seeing every building, plant, tree and the people. Walking around and feeling it.

I REMEMBER in 2012 when I first discovered Fantasy Faire in Second Life, I fell in love with The Siren's Secret.
This mysterious and magical world drew me into a dream full of adventures. I remember discovering a new world under those beautiful buildings.  A world full of colors and Life.
Swimming around tropical fishes and water plants, the antique ruins of ancient Kingdom lost to the new world. I felt like I was discovering Atlantis.

I REMEMBER walking through the Crimson fields in 2013.

Feeling the wind breath around you. Leaves and Flowers flying around you, like there were trying to hug you and give you peace and strength. This dark and yet so beautiful place was the center of my peace. A dark time for me then and yet full of life and hope. The power of that lonely tower in the middle of flower field, standing strong and unbreakable. This Place truly showed to me no matter how weak and breakable you may seem, you inner strength will guide and help you to hope.

I REMEMBER walking amongst the buildings of Sanctuary, my most precious Memory in 2014. Seeing the wonders of architecture and statues for the first time, made me stand at the entrance looking around in awe and in tears.

I loved this Place the most because it is exactly what my Grandfather (who lost his fight 3 years ago) loved. He could sit on a bench and look at every detail of the cathedrals, walls, columns and Statues. This Place remind me so much of him that I thought he was standing next to me.

What memories, adventures and feelings will Fantasy Faire 2015 bring?
I don't know but I am sure it will be magical as every year.
From Thursday, April 23 to Sunday May 3 the Gates will open again for a Journey to Hope, Peace and Strength.
Eleven days of shopping, live music concerts, auctions, hunts, events and roleplaying as thousands of Second Life residents and creators bring their own visions together to support the American Cancer Society’s vision of a world without cancer.
